Clay Postma rejoins UIT as director for UIT Partner Relations
UIT is pleased to announce the return of Clay Postma, who previously worked as a senior project manager in the Project Management Office (PMO). Postma will serve as director for UIT Partner Relations, a new role reporting to Deputy Chief Information Officer Ken Pink. Postma’s new role became effective on September 6, 2022.
Postma will partner with the Information Security Office (ISO) and university colleges, centers, administrative units, and research groups on a new cybersecurity initiative designed to implement and document compliance with existing and emerging institutional IT security policies, initiatives, projects, and programs.
“Clay’s 20-plus years of IT experience make him uniquely qualified to lead this critically important facet of information security at the U,” said DCIO Ken Pink. “Clay’s broad skillset spans project management, analyzing business processes, making workflows more efficient, and building productive relationships. I’m pleased to welcome Clay back to UIT and the university.”
Postma holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Strayer University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Marketing and Spanish from Utah State University. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Scrum Master and Product Owner, and IT Service Management professional with certifications in Prosci Change Management, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Release, Control, and Validation, among others.
