The Enterprise Web Advisory Council (EWAC) met on August 4 to discuss the University Webmasters Community of Practice, campus accessibility website, and university subpages. The Teaching and Learning Portfolio (TLP) met August 11. No other IT governance committees met in August.

Shuckra, a New York state native, hiked the Wind River Range in Wyoming as a teen, and was called to the west after college. On August 8, 2022, UIT will deploy KnowBe4’s Phish Alert Button to all UMail accounts at the University of Utah and University of Utah Health. The button enables users to more easily report phishing messages and other suspicious emails.
Tom Cheatham, director for UIT’s Center for High Performance Computing, received the 2022 Gilda Loew Lectureship award at the International Society of Quantum Biology and Pharmacology (ISQBP) President’s meeting.
