As you descend the Colorado River, canyon walls rise higher and higher, thousands of feet into the sky. This dramatic landscape laid the backdrop for an epic 23-day rafting trip this past March for UIT's Chris Moore and 14 fellow adventurers.

The Coral phone system was implemented in 2005 as a replacement system for off-campus clinics acquired by U of U Health. Over the last few years, however, we've been transitioning off-site clinics to newer systems that provide more capabilities.

UIT's Network Team has completed a major equipment upgrade, bringing eight links of Ethernet fiber that extend from campus to the Downtown Data Center (DDC) up from 10 Gb to 40 Gb, with the potential to be boosted to 100 Gb in the future.

On June 16, friends and coworkers gathered at 102 Tower to bid farewell to Anita Sjoblom, product manager in UIT since 2010. Sjoblom is retiring and relocating to Mesquite, Nevada with her fiancé Dennis and dog Reesie.
