UIT is pleased to announce that Trevor Long has been named the new associate director for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), reporting to Chief Information Security Officer Dr. Randy Arvay in UIT's Information Security Office, effective December 21, 2018.

Dr. Randy Arvay, the university's CISO and 24-year U.S. Army veteran, moderated a November 7, 2018 panel discussion "U.S. Military Impact on Cybersecurity."

For the fifth year, UIT is participating in National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), a nationwide initiative to ensure people have the needed resources to stay safe and secure online.

On July 17, 2018, Duo phone call and text message options for two-factor authentication (2FA) will be discontinued. Users need to select another method for Duo 2FA to log in to the majority of university applications (e.g. Canvas, CIS, Box) after July 17.

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Duo will be the single method of 2FA for all university employees, including student employees.

UIT is pleased to announce that Chris Stucker has joined the Information Security Office as the new Program Manager, at the Associate Director level, of Identity and Access Management.
