Digital Learning Technologies
Digital Learning Technologies (DLT) employs 22 full-time professional staff and 20+ part-time student employees, providing technology and media support for the physical and virtual teaching spaces for the university. Service desks and staff workspaces are located in Marriott Library, Adobe Creative Commons at Kahlert Village, Eccles Broadcast Center, and the Juniper Building at Herriman Campus.
DLT provides support for all the U’s primary learning systems, including Canvas and add-on tools; the video streaming server; equipment checkout; class and event recordings; AV installations; and AV maintenance. DLT also supports various educational initiatives across campus and in the community, such as the annual Eccles Adobe Social Impact Challenge and Indigenous Storytelling Camp. DLT offers workshops, professional faculty and staff portraits, and a state-of-the-art podcasting studio. DLT staff aim to enhance the student and faculty learning experience through innovative technology offerings and responsive support.
DLT receives strategic direction from the University of Utah’s Teaching and Learning Portfolio governance committee.
